sunday drivers press website

Last year Sunday Drivers Press received a ‘Write In Your Face’ grant from the Australia Council to help with the development of a website to move us into online publishing. The aim of the Sunday Drivers Press website is to provide inspiration and opportunities for Australians to further develop and publish their creative work in a format that is more immediate than the time and financial limitations of traditional print publishing. The website also gives us the opportunity to create and develop projects quickly through the written word, as well as through audio recordings, podcasts and video clips. We recognise that there is an opportunity to develop an Australian online presence that has yet to be fully explored and that caters to emerging and established writers, filmmakers, designers, artists and other ‘content-makers’.  Sunday Drivers Press will create and chase content as well as encourage submissions, allowing members of the Australian arts community to contribute to the growth of the site. Whilst Kate Harris and I are the current editors/publishers, we have gathered around us a dedicated team of editors, writers, film crew, sound engineers, composers, and graphic designers. Projects are underway in preparation to have content ready for when the site goes live.
